The Opportunity

Wrapbook is seeking a Senior Software Engineer I (Backend) to join our mission of building an outstanding technology company. In this hands-on role, you will be part of a cross-functional team, contributing to architectural decisions and developing internal tooling from conception to deployment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers and engineering stakeholders to deliver performant and scalable solutions.
• Enhance existing complex architectures and propose internal tooling solutions to streamline repetitive tasks.
• Lead and support the resolution of complex problems with ambiguous requirements by breaking them down into manageable tasks.
• Author clear RFCs and technical implementation proposals.
• Take full ownership of feature delivery, from initial concept through to production.
• Write performant, scalable, and secure software.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving constructive feedback.
• Mentor and learn from fellow developers.
• Ensure code is well-tested and architecturally sound.
• Actively contribute to the improvement of our tools, processes, and best practices.

Requirements

• Strong technical background with significant experience in building production web applications.
• Proficiency in writing, analyzing, and optimizing SQL queries (PostgreSQL is mandatory).
• Experience in designing and documenting RESTful APIs.
• Experience building high-throughput services and internal APIs.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and code coverage strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
