Requirements

6+ years of software engineering experience with products that have scaled users and/or revenue
Experience in growth engineering or similar rapid experimentation environments, with hands-on experience with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing infrastructure, and feature flagging systems
Excellent communication skills, ability to clearly articulate technical tradeoffs, and a bias toward action
Strong product sense with deep empathy for users, striving to deliver real value to players, and comfortable with data-informed decision making
Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and work across the full tech stack
Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React (or equivalent modern stack)
Comfortable with on-site attendance in Bay Area office 2-3 times per week; currently residing in or near the Bay Area or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

Partner with Product to refine requirements, write technical specs, and deliver features from concept to launch
Collaborate with Design to create delightful, intuitive experiences for users
Develop a deep understanding of users and design experiments that drive acquisition, activation, and retention
Contribute to a fast-paced product engineering team by rapidly delivering new features and building principled learnings through experimentation
Play a critical role in making key technical decisions, balancing long-term architectural health with the need for rapid iteration
Mentor junior engineers, contribute to code reviews, and maintain a high standard of code quality, architecture, and performance on the team
