Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with products that have scaled users and/or revenue
  • Experience in growth engineering or similar rapid experimentation environments, with hands-on experience with experimentation frameworks, A/B testing infrastructure, and feature flagging systems
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to clearly articulate technical tradeoffs, and a bias toward action
  • Strong product sense with deep empathy for users, striving to deliver real value to players, and comfortable with data-informed decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor engineers and work across the full tech stack
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, Node.js, and React (or equivalent modern stack)
  • Comfortable with on-site attendance in Bay Area office 2-3 times per week; currently residing in or near the Bay Area or willing to relocate

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Product to refine requirements, write technical specs, and deliver features from concept to launch
  • Collaborate with Design to create delightful, intuitive experiences for users
  • Develop a deep understanding of users and design experiments that drive acquisition, activation, and retention
  • Contribute to a fast-paced product engineering team by rapidly delivering new features and building principled learnings through experimentation
  • Play a critical role in making key technical decisions, balancing long-term architectural health with the need for rapid iteration
  • Mentor junior engineers, contribute to code reviews, and maintain a high standard of code quality, architecture, and performance on the team
