Position Overview

• Salary: $138,900.00 - $186,200.00 per year

Movies Anywhere is seeking a talented individual to join their team in building next-generation video consumption platforms. This role offers an opportunity to work within a collaborative team of technology experts on a seamless in-home entertainment service. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who values passion, community involvement, and writing high-quality code. You will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise-level backend systems that are highly available and scalable. Strong communication skills are essential for interacting with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• Education: BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in building software for consumer-facing products or enterprise backend systems.
• Technical Skills:
  • Solid understanding of data structures and algorithms.
  • Proficiency in:
    • Languages: JavaScript, Typescript, Node.js, Java, Kotlin
    • Frontend: HTML, CSS (Box Model, Specificity, Flexbox, Grid), CSS Design Systems (BEM, OOCSS), Front-end frameworks (AngularJS or React)
    • Backend/Architecture: Spring Boot (for microservices), RESTful web services, GraphQL
    • Cloud: AWS or similar cloud services
    • Databases: Relational and NoSQL databases
    • DevOps: Continuous integration and deployment

Responsibilities

• Define, architect, design, and build high-quality software solutions across multiple platforms.
• Collaborate effectively with other software engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Regularly review code from peers to foster continuous improvements and shared knowledge.
• Troubleshoot production issues and provide on-call support as needed.
• Evangelize technologies, solutions, and best practices within the team and organization.
• Contribute new ideas and innovations to a community of professionals.
• Mentor early-career developers through pair programming, technical talks, and code reviews.
