Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a team of dedicated engineers to develop and refine the core software platform supporting current and future products.
• Architect, develop, test, integrate, and debug robust, secure, maintainable, and high-performance software applications.
• Participate in code reviews to promote knowledge sharing and uphold the highest coding standards.
• Continuously enhance platform performance, security, and scalability to accommodate increasing user demands.
• Leverage and improve continuous integration and delivery pipelines to ensure seamless and secure code deployment.
• Expand and refine observability services to optimize monitoring, troubleshooting, and overall system reliability.
• Automate and optimize workflows to drive operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
• Collaborate closely with Product Management to deliver frequent, incremental updates that provide meaningful customer value.
• Contribute to architectural discussions and system design decisions within the engineering team.
• Participate in rotational on-call responsibilities to ensure platform reliability and availability.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development, with a track record of delivering high-quality software solutions.
• Proficiency in programming with Golang or a demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new languages.
• Strong experience with cloud computing and containerization technologies, particularly Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Expertise in developing and maintaining APIs and microservices utilizing gRPC and Google AIP.
• Proven ability to stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills, an analytical mindset, and a commitment to continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with API description languages such as OpenAPI or Protocol Buffers.
• Experience with GitOps, GKE, Istio, Google Cloud Anthos, kpt, kustomize, Terraform, and Git/GitHub.
• Experience working in small, agile teams where collaboration and ownership are emphasized.
