Responsibilities
- Architect and scale cloud services and distributed systems that serve as the foundation for the Viam platform
- Mentor engineers, provide thoughtful code reviews, and help grow a team that values inclusion and creativity
- Shape broader application architecture and technical roadmap
- Propose and implement gRPC API and core product features like scheduling (distributed cron), robot logs, billing, and triggers
- Build internal tools and services that other teams rely on to ship features faster
- Support user authentication and access management flows for the Viam application
- Build business-critical features (e.g., implementing triggers, adding features to billing product, splitting out macroservices, implementing shared background job queue)
