Candidates must have over 10 years of professional software development experience, with strong expertise in C++ (C++11/14/17 or newer), including multi-threading, memory management, and performance optimization. A solid working knowledge of Java, including concurrency and JVM fundamentals, is required. Experience with financial systems, particularly in payments, accounting, clearing, or settlement, is preferred. A strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, OOD, and design patterns is essential, along with proficiency in databases (RDBMS and/or NoSQL Distributed) and hands-on experience with consensus algorithms like RAFT or Paxos. Experience in Linux/Unix environments, scripting, and debugging tools is also necessary. Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architectures for payments, modern build/deployment tools, cloud-native solutions, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) are preferred, as is a background in ledger accounting principles and reconciliation automation.
The Senior Software Engineer will lead the design, development, and maintenance of real-time payments, clearing, and settlement systems using C++ and Java. Responsibilities include architecting and optimizing solutions for transaction throughput, concurrency, and low-latency processing, as well as implementing accounting logic, ledger management, and reconciliation workflows.
