Requirements

Experienced Software Engineer with expertise in Android development
Strong understanding of Android internals and ability to debug/diagnose Android device issues
Pristine communication skills, both written and verbal

Experience maintaining high code quality standards with unit tests, automated tests, modern libraries, and Kotlin codebase
Ability to lead entire projects from start to finish

Responsibilities

Develop an understanding of the DE&ET software stack and specifically the MediaX component
Maintain and update the Android variant of the Disney Media Player
Assist with critical components including release process, remote configuration management, and live production issues
Collaborate with application development teams, services engineering teams, and product management to understand and explain device limitations
