About the Role:

Seeking a passionate Senior Engineer for our Content engineering team. This team focuses on large-scale content processing using cutting-edge technologies. This role involves leveraging NLP and LLMs to extract insights from multi-modal documents, enhancing AlphaSense Search and AI products. You will collaborate with skilled engineers to develop scalable solutions for our advanced AI-powered search platform.

Requirements:

• Must have:

  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, primarily with Python.
  • Ideally, an advanced degree (Bachelor's / Master's) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant field with a focus on Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning, but equivalent industry experience may be considered.
  • 2+ years of NLP problem-solving experience.
  • Proficiency in Applied LLM, developing and deploying NLP/LLM solutions using frameworks like LangChain, HuggingFace, and backend web frameworks like FastAPI.
  • Familiarity with experimenting with Open Source and Commercial LLMs like Llama, Claude, etc., with a deep understanding of Prompt Engineering.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.

• Great to have:

  • Experience in async processing of data at scale.
  • Expertise in core engineering skills: Cloud, microservice architecture, caching, queuing.
  • Familiarity with concepts/tools such as Docker, k8s, VCS, CI/CD.
  • Previous experience in data extraction from specific domains (e.g., financial reports, news).

Responsibilities:

• Deploy LLM-based production-grade solutions.
• Fine-tune and adapt SOTA LLMs for specialized data extraction tasks.
• Develop innovative prompting strategies and architectures to maximize performance on confidential business documents.
• Solve engineering challenges associated with LLM solutions, such as high latency and non-deterministic output.
• Implement and scale data extraction pipelines capable of processing high volumes of complex documents with high accuracy and efficiency.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate product requirements into machine learning architectures.
• Own systems end-to-end, including (but not limited to) design, code, monitoring, and observability for engineering projects, as well as training, testing, deployment, and iteration for model training projects.
