Requirements

Candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, with over 5 years of software engineering experience, preferably using Microsoft technologies in high-traffic web systems. Strong architectural design skills are required, including experience with scalable, distributed, and event-driven systems. Expertise in ASP.NET (Razor, WebForms, Web API, WCF), JavaScript, CSS, and caching services is essential, along with proficiency in MS SQL Server (T-SQL/SQL) for high-volume transactions. A minimum of 3 years of experience developing and operating applications in AWS, including key AWS services, and 2 years of experience with React or React Native for front-end development are necessary. Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and microservices, hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and zero-downtime deployments, and production experience with event-driven architectures or message brokers like Kafka or RabbitMQ are also required. Proficiency in object-oriented programming, API design, distributed system principles, and source code versioning, configuration management, and automated build pipelines are crucial. A proactive problem-solving approach with an ownership mentality is expected.

Responsibilities

The Senior Software Engineer will lead architecture discussions and design highly scalable, performant, and resilient software solutions in a cloud-native environment. They will own software components from design to deployment, ensuring system reliability and maintainability, and drive continuous improvement projects such as cost and toil reduction, technical debt reduction, and system refactoring. Responsibilities include designing data-centric architectures, championing a quality-first approach with unit tests and automation frameworks, and identifying codebase and system design gaps to maintain high engineering standards. The role involves enhancing product scalability and self-service capabilities, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting hiring efforts through interviews and talent attraction.
