Senior Backend Engineer
RasaFull Time
Senior (5 to 8 years)
Candidates should have 6+ years of backend development experience, including infrastructure and backend development. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science with proficiency in data structures, algorithms, and software design is required. Experience with large-scale engineering challenges, highly available distributed systems, multithreading, concurrency, and parallel processing is necessary. Proficiency in C, C++, Golang, or Java, along with strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills, is essential. Familiarity with distributed storage, filesystems, and object storage is a significant plus.
As a core development team member, you will design and build massively distributed systems at web-scale, focusing on the backend of the Cohesity Data Platform and Cohesity SpanFS. This involves working on features such as hyper-convergence, distributed data paths, distributed file systems, data across thousands of nodes, object storage, cloud services, asynchronous programming, performance optimization, software-defined infrastructure, consensus protocols, massively parallel and distributed data sets, infinite scalability, snapshots, resiliency, deduplication, compression, replication, multiple protocols, and fault tolerance. You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment, driving tasks to completion and taking ownership of projects.
