Requirements

The ideal candidate should possess 5+ years of professional experience as a Software Engineer, with experience developing in Scala and PHP, and a bonus for Javascript and/or gRPC. They should be able to contribute to project discovery, design, and implementation, and have a desire to work in a collaborative, open environment on an Agile team as a contributor and mentor. A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will maintain and improve services that power BigCommerce’s Storefront Environment, support bug fixes and implement enhancements to applications in Production, mentor and help engineers become more productive by removing blockers, produce technical documentation of workflows related to the Storefront, and work closely with engineers to gather requirements and develop the team’s roadmap. You will also collaborate with a team distributed between US and EU timezones and be comfortable exploring and engaging in unfamiliar languages, tools, and technologies.”} id=
