Candidates must have 5+ years of professional software development experience or equivalent expertise, with a B.A. or B.S. in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent years of experience. Experience building backend services at scale with technologies such as Golang and AWS, and experience serving as a technical leader of a team of software engineers are required. Familiarity with video delivery concepts, AWS Interactive Video Service, Twitch, gaming, and/or streaming on Twitch are considered bonus points.
The Senior Software Development Engineer will build and maintain the services that power Twitch’s video platform. They will serve as a technical leader for the Video Platform team, mentor and develop other engineers, and collaborate effectively with product managers, program managers, and other engineering teams at Twitch. The role also involves contributing positively to Twitch’s engineering culture.
