Our Identity Security Cloud team is looking for a well-rounded Senior Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) with a focus on backend-end development. A successful Senior SDET should have excellent troubleshooting skills, experience writing automation tests, creating extensive test cases, and be able to ensure that processes and products consistently meet established quality standards. We are looking for someone capable of driving several projects to completion from a QA perspective and a skilled technician that can also serve as a mentor to the team.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in quality engineering.
  • Programming Languages: Proficient in Java or GoLang.
  • Testing Frameworks: Experience with JUnit, TestNG, and Mockito.
  • Frontend Technologies: Preferred experience with TypeScript/JavaScript.
  • API Testing: Experience writing test cases for verification of web applications and testing REST APIs in a microservice environment.
  • Contract Testing: Experience with tools like Pact, Postman, and Cypress.
  • Databases: Familiarity with SQL and NonSQL data stores.
  • Cloud Technologies: Experience with AWS.
  • Observability: Familiarity with observability tools such as Kibana and Datadog.
  • CI/CD: Familiarity with Jenkins, Cloudbees and CI/CD workflows.
  • Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and experience using tools such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Soft Skills: Strong Communication and interpersonal skills, Self-starter, Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

  • Designing automation testing best practices and quality standards & processes.
  • Manual testing of backend applications.
  • Assisting engineers in the creation of automation tests.
  • Maintaining healthy automation testing pipelines.
  • Delivering recommendations on how to evolve testing best practices within the organization, solving today’s problems with the future direction of product testing in mind.
  • Onboarding into the role, familiarizing with the product offering and technology.
  • Proactively meeting peers and stakeholders, setting up the test and development environment.
  • Familiarizing with the test and development environment.
