Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related STEM field, and a minimum of 6 years of technical experience with established leadership credentials across product lines. They must have hands-on design, coding, and debugging skills, along with familiarity with IoT technologies, Cloud deployment, and experience with GoLang, NodeJS Typescript, Angular, and Microservices Architecture. Proficiency in Python and Java programming languages, as well as Shell scripting, relational databases like PostgreSQL, and non-relational databases such as Cassandra, CouchDB, MongoDB, and HBase is required. Experience with APIs using REST, XML, and JSON, and exposure to IoT tools and protocols like Message Brokers, MQTT, AMQP, and IoT Security is also necessary. Familiarity with testing tools and frameworks like JUnits, Chai, Mocha, and awareness of Solid design principles, threat modeling, Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm charts are expected.
In this role, the Senior Software Engineer will provide technical leadership and define, develop, and evolve software in a fast-paced, agile development environment. They will translate requirements into prioritized user stories and deliver them on time and to high quality standards, defining architectures for data acquisition and transmission, and implementing solutions. The engineer will contribute to the development of a consistent and robust software system enabling reliable data transmission from edge devices, driving efficiency across teams, and applying principles of SDLC, Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring, and Testing Techniques. They will also work independently and contribute to the immediate team and other teams across the business, participating in design discussions and creating low-level design documents to drive team executions.
