Requirements

Candidates must have 5+ years in a cloud-based infrastructure role with development and automation experience, including at least 2 years with GCP. A minimum of 5 years in a DevOps role with scripting/automation experience and 3+ years of experience using Terraform in a cloud environment are also required. Proficiency in Shell and Python scripting, familiarity with Golang, and experience with CI/CD workflows and SDLC tools are necessary. Knowledge of cloud architecture, including network, storage, compute, and messaging, is essential. Experience or interest in Airflow, Kubernetes, OPA/REGO, Go/Python is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will be responsible for the availability, efficiency, and resilience of software systems. This includes dividing time between system operations, developing software and tools to enhance reliability and performance, and leading projects to improve cloud operations. The role involves applying software engineering principles to system operations, designing and implementing tools, leading configuration, testing, security, and deployment efforts, and contributing to internal libraries and frameworks. Responsibilities also include monitoring and improving runtime characteristics of software systems, participating in on-call rotations, upholding SDLC quality standards through DevOps promotion, collaborating with project managers and partners, mentoring teammates, and developing infrastructure abstraction layers.
