We are looking for a Senior Sales Engineer to join our team in Germany. In this role, you will get hands-on experience applying the latest big data technologies to business uses cases with companies whose names you hear and products you use everyday. Our ideal candidate is comfortable learning new technologies while being able to explain their work to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in the data science, analytics, or big data markets preferred.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong natural and intellectual curiosity especially around the application of technology to solve all kinds of problems.
    • Programming experience in Python/R.
    • Understanding of relational data structures and SQL.
    • Experience working with cloud infrastructures (AWS, GCP, Azure).
    • Experience in Analytics/AI or other enterprise software.
  • Communication & Interpersonal Skills:
    • Comfortability talking to all levels of customer teams from individual contributors to C-level executives.
    • Passion for public speaking.

Responsibilities

  • Deal Qualification: Collaborate with Account Executives (AE), Business Development Representatives (BDR), and sales management to qualify deals.
  • Discovery Meetings: Conduct Discovery meetings to learn about customer business requirements and technical environment.
  • Value Articulation: Articulate usage scenarios that illustrate the business value desired by the customer.
  • Demonstrations: Use Dataiku to demonstrate business value through data science techniques.
  • Proof-of-Concepts (POCs): Plan and execute POCs, coordinating resources and co-developing data science projects with prospective customers.
  • Technical Guidance: Answer questions and provide technical guidance to the customer's technical team.
  • Sales Support: Assist in sales pipeline building activities, including trade-shows, industry conferences, and campaign execution.
