Candidates should have typically 5+ years of related experience, including 2+ years on large-scale, technically complex projects. Familiarity and experience working within the SAFe Framework as an IT Project Manager, Scrum Master, or other related mentorship role is required. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodology, demonstrated execution through complex value streams, and success in working across multiple teams of stakeholders including IT Teams, Business Teams, Product Managers, Product Owners, and Portfolio Managers are necessary. Excellent communication skills, mentorship/leadership competencies, expertise in operating through influence, and a high level of emotional intelligence are also required.
The Senior Release Train Engineer will serve as the overall facilitator and coach of a moderately complex Agile Release Train (ART), ensuring all events align with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methods to add speed and value to product delivery. This role involves leveraging Agile methodologies and Program Maturity Assessments, Metrics, and Dashboards to coach teams on aligning around value delivery and continuous improvement. The Senior RTE will facilitate PI Planning readiness, coach and mentor technical teams, scrum masters, and business partners in Lean-Agile practices, and help teams refine value streams. They will also coach teams to identify and remediate dependencies/barriers, encourage collaboration between teams and architects, orchestrate synchronized program-level processes, and work with stakeholders to ensure strategy and execution alignment. Additionally, the Senior RTE will drive relentless improvement via Inspect and Adapt workshops, foster Communities of Practice, and ensure teams maintain focus on quality and continuous delivery of business value.
