Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, coupled with at least 3 years of experience in Release, Software engineering, or Quality Assurance. A strong understanding of software development lifecycles and release management methodologies like Agile and DevOps is necessary, along with familiarity with CI/CD tools, project management techniques, version control systems such as Git, and issue tracking. The ideal candidate must be comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments with shifting priorities, demonstrate a safety-first mindset, and possess excellent communication, organization, and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

The Release QA Engineer will own the organization and management of release workflows, ensuring high-quality weekly releases across multiple platforms including autonomy, cloud, mobile, robot, hardware, and embedded firmware. Responsibilities include defining and improving release policies, managing the end-to-end software release lifecycle, developing and maintaining release plans and schedules, and driving improvements to shorten release times and enhance quality. This role involves collaborating with QA, TPMs, Operations, and development teams to ensure thorough testing, advocating for testing readiness, managing dependencies, driving go/no-go decisions, monitoring release communications, and creating release documentation.
