Requirements

  • Postgraduate degree in Economics, Health Economics or Life Science
  • Min 5 years’ experience in Reimbursement, Health economics, HTA and funding applications in a healthcare environment at a medical device or pharmaceutical or biotechnology or a specialist reimbursement/health economic consulting company
  • Track record of developing and delivering reimbursement/market access strategies in Australia
  • Experience with strategic value story development
  • Good understanding of the application, development and value of health economic modelling
  • Experience in conducting outcomes research projects
  • Strong knowledge and hands on application of regional masterfile development
  • Good knowledge of reimbursement systems and HTA processes (major APAC countries, especially Australia and New Zealand)
  • Good knowledge of the application, development and critical assessment of health economic models
  • Expected travel (30% of regular working time), mainly within ANZ, with some to Asia/EMEA

Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue opportunities to obtain reimbursement and provide support in reimbursement, HTA and funding submissions with particular focus on the designated countries
  • Execute health economic projects pre and post launch - including cost-effectiveness, cost-utility, cost-of-illness and budget impact analyses to support market access strategies
  • Develop product value stories and influence the regional and global clinical trial program to fill clinical data gaps
  • Analyze and communicate the relevant evidence effectively to target audiences within the region including publication of research findings
  • Develop and deliver focused regional masterfiles/value dossier for effective and timely use in countries
  • In effective collaboration with regional, country & business unit partners, understand reimbursement/funding gaps/needs, and drive initiatives to deliver economic value of diabetes technologies
  • Provide therapy specific and general reimbursement/health economic education and training to key internal and external audiences within region
  • Contribute as member of the International team, ensuring efficient use of data/tools and knowledge across the Region
  • Ensure quality in delivery and execution
  • Deliver relevant data and tools to meet country HTA/reimbursement/funding and access needs within the region
