Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience or advanced degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience
  • Nice to Have: Advanced degree such as MS or MBA
  • Nice to Have: Medical device industry experience including new product development, released product management, clinical trials and regulatory submissions
  • Nice to Have: DRM Blackbelt
  • Nice to Have: Experience managing complex cross-department and/or cross-functional project teams
  • Nice to Have: Experience leading collaboratively in a diverse, global, matrixed organization
  • On-site presence (minimum 4 days per week) at Parkmore, Galway, Ireland site
  • 25% or less domestic travel

Responsibilities

  • Driving cross-functional core team and working directly with functional leaders, regional leaders, and extended teams to ensure clear communication of program objectives, deliverables, and timing of key milestones
  • Leading team members for on-time, on-budget, within scope project completion, while managing stakeholder and business expectations
  • Accountable for the product development budget and schedule
  • Using critical thinking and problem-solving skills as a leader of cross-functional teams through the intricate details of development projects; from scope definition, cost management to schedule development and risk management
  • Regular communication and presentation to CAS leadership team through program updates at the program review committee meetings
  • Mentoring team members to ensure each team member is fully engaged and contributing to project success
  • Championing product development best practices such as collecting high-quality Voice of Customer inputs, early risk burn-down and Design for Reliability and Manufacturability (DRM)
