Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a closely related field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Ohio
  • 10+ years of progressive civil engineering experience in roadway/highway design, including ODOT experience
  • Experience with OpenRoads Designer
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to quality and excellence
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Serving as a project engineer with responsibility for various local agency and/or DOT roadway design projects
  • Assisting with project task management, budgets, schedules, and resources effectively
  • Delegating work to project team members
  • Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance
  • Assisting with the preparation of project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Coordinating with clients to understand project requirements and expectations
  • Taking a lead role in project planning, design, and implementation
  • Performing detailed engineering analysis and design tasks
  • Assisting with the preparation of complete project documents, ensuring quality and compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations
  • Assisting upper level management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor
