Requirements

  • Successfully completed degree in Medical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Materials Science, or a comparable technical discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of CAD, especially Creo 6 and Windchill 11, and proficiency in reading and evaluating technical drawings
  • Motivation and willingness to learn – curious, continuously developing, and driven to succeed through engagement
  • Initiative and sense of responsibility – proactive, takes responsibility, and independently drives topics forward
  • Analytical thinking and implementation strength – maintains overview with multiple parallel tasks, works efficiently in teams, especially interdisciplinary contexts
  • Very good German and English skills in spoken and written form

  • Basic understanding of common manufacturing processes in medical technology, such as machining (turning, milling), additive manufacturing (3D printing), forging, casting, surface treatment (e.g., electropolishing, passivating), and assembly processes
  • Initial professional experience in R&D, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, Design Assurance, or Change Control in a regulated environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and implementation of product changes and optimizations – from series production to product phase-out – including development of technical concepts and evaluation of impacts from product and process changes to ensure highest product quality and functionality throughout the entire lifecycle
  • Support for global quality assurance in manufacturing and product transfers through technical expertise and solution-oriented collaboration
  • Continuous improvement of existing products – focusing on efficiency, manufacturing processes, and cost optimization
  • Analysis and processing of deviations and product complaints – including root cause analysis, derivation of measures, and close coordination with quality management, production, test laboratory, and regulatory affairs
  • Active participation in cross-functional teams for integration of new products, leadership of NC teams, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
