Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Demonstrated experience leading a team on a major rail or infrastructure project
  • Experience managing and developing long-term programs
  • High level of competency around contracts, cost forecasting, and management of a large team of engineers
  • Advanced communication skills and an ability to build and maintain relationships with a broad range of subcontractors, local authorities, internal staff, and client representatives

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the project is delivered to overall program to cost and time with resources needed, leading to a high level of client satisfaction
  • Identify and assess risk to the project as well as implement strategies to mitigate risk
  • Use technical skills to resolve design challenges and identify value engineering opportunities
  • Perform cost and forecast control to assist project managers with strategic planning
  • Lead, develop, and manage large project teams on the ground
  • Build effective and collaborative relationships to coordinate activities with supervisors
  • Maintain quality, environmental, and safety systems across the project
  • Support the Construction Manager in achieving safe, timely, and high-quality project completion within budget
  • Oversee project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring contractual profitability and obligations are met
