Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited design program in a directly related field of study
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Portfolio showcasing strong production design skills
  • Good communication and organizational skills
  • Solid knowledge of design software applications such as Adobe Creative Suite and Google Office
  • Proficient in Figma for creating and maintaining production-ready design files, components, and design systems
  • Familiar with Figma plugins to speed up production workflows
  • Strong eye for alignment, spacing, and pixel-perfect detailing using Figma’s design tools and inspection modes
  • Advanced knowledge of industry standard programs such as Adobe CS (XD, Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop)
  • Experience overseeing and mentoring junior staff
  • Amazon (or marketplace equivalent) experience preferred
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at one time in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Process-oriented self-starter
  • Extremely organized and works well under pressure
  • Ability to stay up to date with new production techniques and trends through research and education

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with art directors, designers, copywriters, creative project managers, and other team members
  • Prepare final, “press-ready” files based on supplied specifications for several types of digital assets
  • Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
  • Provide image retouching, clipping paths, and additional image manipulation
  • Package and prepare files for mass production for all marketplaces
  • Create files and presentations for art directors and clients to review
  • Prepare images for online and mobile applications
  • Communicate design decisions clearly and concisely
  • Maintain production files, including fonts, images, logos, and other artwork
  • Follow a development timeline to ensure tasks are completed on time
  • Troubleshoot problems as they arise with creative team members
  • Stay up to date with current graphic design trends, techniques, and software
  • Fine-tune the work of graphic designers, ensuring that they are ready to export
  • Work within client’s brand and style guidelines, maintaining and understanding them thoroughly
  • Implement production best practices and processes for maximum output
