Position Overview

We are seeking a talented individual to join the Confluent Cloud Security Product Management team, playing a pivotal role in securing the world's leading data streaming platform. This role is crucial for ensuring our security features scale to support our rapidly growing cloud customer base and offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and deliver groundbreaking security initiatives.

About the Role

You will own a major product initiative, from its initial concept and customer development through to its growth strategy. As the go-to expert for your product, you will ensure that engineering, design, sales, and marketing teams are well-informed to make sound decisions, build the right product, and achieve market success.

Responsibilities

• Set the strategy: Align security investments with Confluent’s long-term vision to position the data streaming platform at the core of every organization.
• Define the roadmap: Collaborate with engineering counterparts to chart a course that realizes the defined strategy.
• Work across teams: Foster shared understanding and direction across engineering, product, business development, support, sales, and marketing teams internally, as well as with external partners.
• Own the full lifecycle: Drive multi-company, cross-functional initiatives from conception through initial delivery and subsequent iterations.
• Close the loop: Define quantitative and qualitative targets, measure performance, share results with stakeholders, and integrate learnings into future development cycles.
• Manage complexity: Deliver value while navigating the dynamic nature of a rapidly evolving product, ambitious partnership goals, and a fast-growing organization.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product management.
• Proven experience developing security features for cloud-based products, including identity, authentication, authorization, or secrets management.
• Demonstrated ability to build, write, and defend a clear product roadmap and backlog, supported by user stories and customer research.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in a collaborative, consensus-driven environment.
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and customers globally.
• Proven track record of driving business outcomes through product changes.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid environments is a plus.
