Candidates should possess 5+ years of product management experience with a strong background in cloud-based SaaS products, and a deep familiarity with database systems, distributed systems, or real-time analytics platforms. Hands-on experience with SQL and a strong understanding of query execution, indexing strategies, partitioning, and performance tuning are required, along with experience working with databases such as ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or other columnar databases. Understanding of modern data infrastructure, including data lakes, ETL pipelines, CDC, and data orchestration frameworks is also necessary. Demonstrated ability to work with engineering on low-level technical topics, such as schema management, query planning, storage engines, and schema design is required, as well as experience designing and delivering features like database replication, consistency models, and backup/restore workflows.

You will work alongside design, marketing, operations, and sales teams to support feature launches, contribute to blog posts, and shape product positioning and messaging. Furthermore, you will define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and act as the primary point of contact for all product-related communications, effectively managing expectations and keeping stakeholders informed.
High-speed column-oriented database management system
ClickHouse provides a high-speed, column-oriented database management system designed for developers and businesses that manage large-scale data. Its primary product processes analytical queries quickly by storing data from the same columns together, making it significantly faster than traditional row-oriented databases, especially in Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) scenarios. ClickHouse stands out from competitors by offering a free, open-source database that can be deployed on local machines or in the cloud, along with a fully managed service on platforms like AWS, GCP, and Microsoft Azure. The company's goal is to deliver a cost-effective solution that simplifies data management for its clients, as evidenced by user feedback highlighting substantial cost savings.
