Responsibilities

Work with OEM customers and R&D engineering team in the development of Electronic Control Units (ECU) with embedded software for the control of an AWD Torque Transfer system
Management of ECU hardware supplier for provisions of the electronics as well as internal software, validation, and calibrations teams to bring together the ECU as a complete control system product
Present electronic control unit design and system performance and obtain concurrence from customer
Manage system requirements and conformance to customer specification
Understand and manage to closure product/system issues relative to intended system usage; maintain customer action items list and manage commitments to ensure customer needs are met
Investigate customer product/system related problems and develop timely solutions
Represent BW-PDS ECU development department for the support of appropriate product teams as product team member; act as technical resource for the manufacturing plants
Be the primary OEM Customer contact for BW-PDS ECU development team
Provide facilitation of upfront analysis with OEM Customer of vehicle assembly plant and warranty returns
Review and approval of vendor electrical design, test plans, and results
Support control engineering in development of algorithm
Support customer test trips for systems issues and calibration
Support vehicle demonstrations and early prototype vehicle as needed
