Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience architecting datacenter-scale HPC or networking infrastructure as a Principal Architect, Solutions Architect, Principal Engineer, or equivalent
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Deep expertise in networking technologies including high-performance Ethernet (SpectrumX), InfiniBand, NVLink Switches/Fabrics, and related interconnects
  • Strong background in datacenter-scale network design: topologies, routing, congestion management, and fabric scalability
  • Experience working with benchmarking tools and performance analysis for large-scale HPC/AI networking deployments
  • Understanding of DPU (or similar SmartNIC) architectures and their role in software defined networking (SDN), security enforcement, and storage acceleration
  • Deep understanding of network isolation using VLAN, VxLAN, and EVPN overlays through SDN
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, including CNI, Multus, and workload isolation at scale
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to distill highly technical networking concepts into actionable business and product insights

Responsibilities

  • Architect the next generation of datacenter-scale networking infrastructure, leveraging SpectrumX, InfiniBand, NVLink Switches, and other sophisticated interconnect technologies
  • Design network and hardware-focused architectures that unlock the full potential of NVIDIA GPUs, DPUs, compute and storage servers through high-bandwidth, low-latency fabrics
  • Stay at the forefront of networking trends: software defined networking (SDN), programmable fabrics, congestion control, and datacenter interconnects
  • Define detailed product architectures, including performance, scalability, interoperability, datacenter deployment requirements
  • Lead prototyping, benchmarking, and validation of networking-focused designs at scale, diagnosing bottlenecks and driving innovations in performance
  • Collaborate with internal hardware, software, security, and systems teams to ensure smooth integration of networking, processing, and storage systems
  • Partner with customers and ecosystem partners to co-innovate, deliver proof-of-concepts (POCs) and MVPs that showcase NVIDIA networking leadership
  • Contribute to developer and customer enablement by producing educational materials and advocating networking-first designs in partner forums and communities
  • Create technical collateral including whitepapers, reference architectures, and developer documentation to guide adoption and best practices
