Requirements

Security-minded engineering background with experience embedding security into platforms and developer workflows
Expertise in securing Infrastructure as Code (IaC), particularly Terraform modules and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)
Ability to design, build, and maintain security controls and services within CI/CD pipelines
Experience with security testing tools (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) and integrating them into development lifecycles
Proficiency in developing tools and processes for vulnerability triage, prioritization, and remediation
Skills in leveraging cloud security and observability platforms for automated threat detection and response
Capability to participate in on-call rotation, including out-of-hours coverage, incident response, troubleshooting, and post-mortems
Experience coaching engineers on secure coding practices and acting as a security consultant

Responsibilities

Architect secure foundations by owning the security of the developer platform, including designing, building, and maintaining security controls and services within CI/CD pipelines
Secure Infrastructure as Code (IaC) by partnering with the Platform team as the subject matter expert for Terraform modules and cloud environments (AWS, Azure), preventing misconfigurations
Participate in the team's on-call rotation for platform availability and security, assist in troubleshooting critical issues, lead security-specific incident responses, and drive blameless post-mortems
Build a secure "paved road" by integrating and orchestrating security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, container scanning) into developer workflows as a self-service, low-friction process
Enable vulnerability remediation by developing tools and processes to help engineering teams triage, prioritize, and remediate vulnerabilities with automated discovery and actionable context
Implement platform-level detection using cloud security and observability platforms to build automated threat detection and response capabilities
Act as a security partner and primary consultant for developers, providing expert guidance on secure coding in partnership with the Infosec team
