Requirements

3+ years of experience building and scaling production infrastructure
Strong background in AWS (ECS, RDS, VPC, S3, IAM, WAF) and IaC (CDK, Cloudformation, Terraform, or similar)
Experience in fast-paced, startup environments where you’ve had to wear multiple hats
Comfortable with TypeScript and Node.js or similar back-end ecosystems
Proven ability to lead projects end-to-end and mentor peers
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience

Responsibilities

Design and evolve the core platform architecture, including core application frameworks and abstractions, powering TruckSmarter’s systems
Build and scale the infrastructure that powers our traditional ML and agentic-AI systems
Build and maintain reliable infrastructure across AWS (ECS Fargate, RDS, S3, WAF, Redshift, DMS, and related services) using IaC (CDK, Terraform)
Define and automate deployment pipelines, CI/CD, and observability frameworks
Lead security initiatives to ensure compliance, harden systems, and improve access controls
Mentor engineers on best practices in reliability, automation, and performance engineering
Drive incident response and postmortem culture to increase resilience and operational excellence
