Position Overview

We are seeking a Senior Payroll Implementation Manager to lead the successful implementation of clients on our global payroll system. The ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and international regulations, and can guide Deel’s most important clients through the critical payroll onboarding process. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure our payroll processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Set-up:
    • Organize and lead kick-off meetings with the onboarding team and clients.
    • Deliver Deel's implementation process.
    • Create, maintain, and manage project plans for the successful roll-out of Global Payroll across numerous countries.
  • Client and Project Management:
    • Support client and internal project review calls.
    • Coordinate and deliver on project streams.
    • Manage changes to the scope of work and delivery schedule.
    • Work independently and manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Payroll Process Requirements:
    • Define and set up agreed-upon client payroll processes.
    • Establish all necessary payroll and data requirements.
    • Ensure timely and effective management of each client's payroll calendar.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain detailed project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and process documentation.
  • System Set-up and Parallel Payroll Process:
    • Define, agree upon, and configure all interfaces, reports, and system configurations.
    • Successfully deliver parallel and live payroll for the first two months.
  • Go-live Transition, Sign-off, and Documentation:
    • Work with clients to achieve project sign-off.
    • Document all client-specific needs and processes, ensuring validation and confirmation of project implementation.
    • Generate reports to analyze, audit, and reconcile payroll data.
  • Reports:
    • Map GL reports as required.
  • Communication:
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all payroll project matters for the client.
    • The role is primarily autonomous; the Implementation Project Manager/Account Manager is expected to set priorities and manage the project appropriately.
    • Provide regular status reporting to senior leadership.
    • Take ownership for escalating issues as necessary.
    • Schedule and attend weekly client calls.
