Requirements

  • Leadership experience in operations, particularly in multi-site manufacturing or facilities management
  • Expertise in Lean Management, quality management systems, and continuous improvement programs (e.g., GDP)
  • Strong financial acumen for developing annual operating plans/budgets and managing production, yields, and fixed costs
  • Experience in supply chain alignment and ensuring high-quality product manufacturing
  • Proven ability to champion safety culture and drive zero harm initiatives
  • Skills in talent identification, development, motivation, and providing leadership with integrity

Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for all Applied Water operations in the EMEA region; all Operations Site Leaders report directly to this position
  • Provide leadership and set strategy for Xylem’s Applied Water operation in the EMEA region, including cascading KPIs and deliverables for continuous improvement in safety, sustainability, customer experience, quality, production, reliability, and profitability
  • Accountable for multi-site quality management system and increasing customer value with a thorough understanding of customer needs
  • Champion and utilize best practices to drive Xylem’s Lean Management program and projects
  • Personally lead, promote, and act as a role model of the safety culture at Xylem; ensure all facilities live a safety culture that drives zero harm
  • Responsible for financial performance of all Applied Water facilities in the EMEA region, including developing the annual operating plan/budgets and reviewing plan compliance with respect to production, yields, and fixed costs
  • Align across integrated supply chain functions and ensure high quality products are manufactured to meet or exceed customer expectations on a timely basis
  • Actively lead regular site operating reviews and ensure all facilities are prepared and accountable to internal and external stakeholders
  • Identify, define, and lead change initiatives to increase Value Creation in Applied Water using programs such as Lean, GDP, etc
  • Actively collaborate with colleagues in the design and development of programs and processes to minimize product costs while maximizing operational efficiency, implementing relevant metrics and goals
  • Provide leadership throughout the EMEA organization, focusing on talent identification and development, motivating employees, and providing an example of integrity and ability
  • Ensure ongoing and accurate communication at all organizational levels
  • Work closely with senior leadership to ensure operational needs and customer service levels are met
  • Actively participate with EMEA Leadership to implement business and growth plans across operations and participate in EMEA Operations capital planning and budgeting activities
  • Oversee efficient operations of facilities in the EU and Middle East/Africa region for the Applied Water business
  • Develop the operations footprint optimization strategy in EMEA, defining required production capabilities and leading deployment
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required based on organizational needs
