Certification is required in some areas
Ability to understand and apply network and capacity engineering guidelines and architectures to specific geographic network segments
Ability to work effectively with both internal and external teams across multiple organizations to ensure on-time completion of infrastructure projects
Strong inter-personal skills with positivity and excitement to lead peers and co-workers to collaborative solutions and issue resolution
Ability to communicate complex or technical network engineering issues in a clear, simple, understandable way
Demonstrated ability to problem-solve
Demonstrated ability to identify and implement creative solutions to persistent issues
Desire to learn and collaborate with team members across multiple organizations
Interest in building new infrastructure network planning and capacity management capabilities
Office presence of a minimum of 5 days per week in Dallas, TX or Atlanta, GA (no relocation offered)

Responsibilities

Analyze, develop, and execute Fiber and ROADM network capacity plans to ensure growth capacity is available into various Carrier Hotels / Data Centers across the nation
Maintain working relationships with Carrier Hotel / Data Center providers to ensure additional space and power capacity can be procured as needed, along with ensuring facility access for operations technicians
Evaluate engineering criteria and requirements against capacity constraints and find creative capacity addition solutions when traditional approaches are not enough
Collaborate closely with internal teams and external carriers to build and initiate growth expansion initiatives
Develop and maintain working relationships with external Carrier Hotel / Data Center providers to ensure plan execution and issue resolution
Collaborate with various internal engineering and connection management teams to identify opportunities to reduce operational cost
Analyze customer trends and other engineering data inputs to more fully optimize capacity growth plans and existing capacity investment
Track, analyze, and report on capacity growth projects to ensure timeliness of project completions
