Requirements

  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field and twelve (12) years demonstrable experience in network engineering (LAN), architecture, monitoring, security, and protection (or 17 years demonstrable experience without degree)
  • CCNP certification required
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record; eligible to drive an AT&T company vehicle
  • Office presence a minimum of 5 days per week in Ft. Meade, MD 20755
  • Able to support on-call requirements

Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2/3 network engineering support for end user and enterprise environments
  • Deliver system level design, architecture, and enterprise security solution
  • Configure, install and maintain Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers
  • Manage network boundaries, datacenter virtualization, CAN/LAN/MAN infrastructure, and packet capture software
  • Administer routing/switching protocols, TCP/IP protocol stack, stateful firewalls and L3/L4 access controls
  • Install, configure, and support: Cisco IOS, CatOS, NxOS, filter and access control, Ciscoworks, TACACS+, ASA, FWSM, HP Openview, Cisco routers, Cisco Switches, F5/Cisco load balancers, Infiniband, Juniper, FiberChannel (FC) SAN, and VPN (IPSEC)
  • Support local-campus networks, workplace peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network incidents to ensure availability, performance, and security
  • Document technical processes, maintain system records and provide knowledge transfer
  • Working knowledge of Atlassian Tool Suite
  • Support virtualization products: VMWare and Solaris containers
  • Provide Tier 2 and 3 on-site and remote support for computer workstations, servers, printers, peripherals, and teleconferencing equipment
