Requirements

Candidates should possess a Master's degree in Robotics with a focus on localization and mapping and have at least 5 years of experience, or a PhD with a strong research background applicable to practical robotic solutions in localization and mapping. A deep understanding of SLAM systems, strong C++ programming skills, the ability to design and build scalable systems, and effective communication skills are essential. Experience with real sensors like lidar and cameras, CUDA programming, large geospatial datasets, cloud applications, and building infrastructure for labeling and maintaining HD maps are considered standout qualifications.

Responsibilities

The Sr. Robotics Engineer will design and implement core components of the next-generation mapping and localization engine, build a scalable mapping system for city-sized environments, and collaborate to improve map annotation tooling and data consumption for neural network-based navigation. Responsibilities also include fusing motion and position estimates for improved global localization, working closely with other autonomy team members, and shipping production-quality code, participating in code reviews, and mentoring junior engineers.
