Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • 6+ years of experience in mechanical design, analysis, and manufacturing
  • Expertise in CAD design (Onshape, SolidWorks, or CATIA) and large assembly management
  • Solid understanding of materials, mechanical analysis, and industrial processes
  • Experience with product testing, validation, and design for manufacturability
  • Comfortable with hands-on prototyping and integration in workshop environments
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Fluent in English, proficiency in French is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead mechanical design from concept to production, balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability
  • Develop 3D CAD models and detailed 2D drawings using Onshape or equivalent software
  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and systems engineers to ensure integration and serviceability
  • Manage large assemblies and ensure configuration control across design revisions
  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities to verify design performance
  • Optimize designs for industrialization and coordinate with manufacturing partners
  • Ensure compliance with design standards, reliability criteria, and DFM best practices
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance within the engineering team
