Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement material management strategies to ensure efficient inventory control, distribution, accuracy, safekeeping, and timely movement of inventory across multiple Device Care Centers, optimizing costs and productivity
  • Develop lean processes and procedures that meet internal and external customer requirements
  • Lead Inventory Control resources through clear and precise communication of responsibilities and goals
  • Maintain collaborative relationships with Functional Leaders to ensure Inventory Controls supports departmental needs and meets external customer demands
  • Communicate with customers and strategic partners to gain input and support on business objectives and foster partner relationships to manage change and growth
  • Create and maintain processes that provide solutions for internal and external customer demands
  • Provide technical and operational support during business development and new customer acquisition
  • Develop and establish document controls to ensure inventory accuracy
  • Establish, track, and analyze departmental reports/measurements and present findings as appropriate
  • In consultation with superiors and subordinate supervisory personnel, develop short- and long-term goals and plans for areas of responsibility
  • Develop, secure approval of, and administer an operating budget for attainment of agreed-upon goals
  • Ensure adherence to and administer procedures to implement approved policy and provide overall direction for efficient and effective area services
  • Develop and maintain an effective organization for areas of responsibility, including efficient workflow patterns, performance standards, delineation of duties, suitable staffing levels, appropriate supervision, and systems for timely communication
  • Serve as liaison with other organizational department leaders to establish cooperation and integrate area services into the company’s overall business fulfillment system
  • Receive and investigate complaints concerning areas of responsibility and personnel, determine veracity, and take corrective or disciplinary action or prepare replies as necessary
  • Remain abreast of field developments through self-development, professional organizations, peer interaction, and literature review, incorporating cost-effective advancements
  • Direct preparation of records, recurring and special reports, and analyses, ensuring they are complete, accurate, and timely; review and interpret them to assess goal attainment and initiate corrective action
  • Ensure overall material accuracy for VAS (Value Add Services) channels by performing cycle counts and physical inventory counts
  • Hire, develop, evaluate, discipline, and discharge subordinate personnel or make authoritative recommendations; develop function-specific orientation and training programs; establish and evaluate performance standards; delegate to supervisory personnel as appropriate
