Requirements

  • Experience in defense technology, aerospace, or a similarly complex operational environment
  • Strong understanding of material planning, supply chain coordination, and manufacturing management at a fast-paced hardware company
  • Proven ability to execute complex, cross-functional projects under tight deadlines
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level documents and briefings
  • High discretion and sound judgment with sensitive information
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action—comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists

Responsibilities

  • Full cycle Material Resource Planning
  • MRP execution: Populate/run/maintain MRP, validate output, convert planned orders into purchase/work orders
  • Inventory control: Prevent shortages and excess. Manage reordering and vendor relations
  • Supplier coordination: Place POs, track confirmations, expedite/de-expedite, manage lead times and delivery schedules
  • Production support: Ensure materials arrive in time for builds. Resolve shortages, discrepancies, and quality holds
  • Demand forecasting: Translate sales forecasts, production schedules, and historical usage into material requirements
  • Data accuracy: Maintain item masters, BOM accuracy, lead times, MOQ, and cost data
  • KPI ownership: Monitor OTIF, inventory turns, aging stock, shortages, and planner buys
  • Continuous improvement: Optimize planning parameters, reduce lead times, improve reliability of supply chain
