Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience as CNC machinist with at least 10 years of experience
  • Skill in operating and programming CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Computer savvy with expert understanding of CNC programming and CAD/CAM
  • Mechanical aptitude and proficient math skills
  • Minimum 4 years programming experience
  • Knowledge of GD&T
  • MasterCam or NX experience required
  • Haas Mill and Lathe experience is a plus
  • Solidworks experience is a plus
  • US citizen or Green Card holder

Responsibilities

  • Reading specifications on blueprints and mechanical drawings and ensuring they are met
  • Setup, program, and operate CNC Mill and Lathe for prototype/production part runs
  • Run tests on machines to check machine outputs according to specifications, and adjust as necessary
  • Design fixtures and manufacture them as needed
  • Examine and maintain machinery regularly to ensure functionality
  • Supervise machines during execution and make any necessary adjustments to manufacture a better result
  • Inspect completed parts and compare them to the specifications and requirements of the blueprint, to determine if the process was properly completed
  • Perform all work in compliance with Xometry's quality and safety systems, policies and procedures
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area
