Requirements

Ability to lead the SOX program for North America and Canada, including SOX testing, audits, and overseeing staff on multiple concurrent engagements
Experience developing, executing, and managing all aspects of SOX, including planning, testing, and reporting
Capability to work cross-functionally with IT and business process SOX teams, understanding risks and dependencies across business cycles
Skills to conduct operational and financial audits, including fieldwork, report writing, and presentations to audit management and senior business management
Ability to assist in the annual Internal Audit risk assessment process and ERM
Capacity to multi-task and work flexible hours in a fast-paced, international environment
Independence in meeting deadlines

Responsibilities

Build and maintain cross-functional relationships with leaders throughout the organization to assist in creating transparency and ensuring cooperation with various audits and process improvement projects
Manage and lead the North America and Canada SOX 404 compliance program, including testing, reporting, and monitoring of all business process cycles in scope (e.g., FSCP, SEC, PTP, OTC, Inventory Management, Payroll, Financial Reporting)
Work collaboratively with finance, audit, and IT departments to ensure compliance, addressing IT dependencies in controls
Perform walkthroughs of various business cycles based on flowcharts and Risk and Control Matrices (RCM), update them annually or as processes evolve, and assess the effectiveness of processes and controls
Ensure the RCM and deficiency tracker are up to date at all times and track progress of all deficiencies
Prepare regular progress updates for Global SOX testing, including charts for Sr. Leadership and CAE showing status of SOX testing, ITAC, key reports, etc
Manage SOX auditors in the assigned region, ensuring timely completion of SOX testing for 404, ITACs, and key reports, including performing testing as needed
Assist in development of a comprehensive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework/strategy to facilitate identification, measurement, control, and monitoring of key risk activities
Assist in preparing risk assessments and annual audit plans, including SOX materiality calculations for all regions
Collect and analyze data, conduct interviews, document, summarize, and assist senior Audit team members during scoping, planning, and audits
Conduct data analytical audits, including Balance Sheet and P&L reviews, prepare audit work papers and draft audit reports detailing findings and recommendations
Formulate recommendations to management to correct deficiencies and improve controls
