The role involves leading the Performance & Aerodynamics team through design reviews, trade studies, and performance evaluations; growing and mentoring the team; guiding CFD/FSI models and simulation workflows; conducting system-level performance optimization; translating data for other systems; and driving experimental validation.
Key skills include expertise in CFD/FSI models, simulation workflows, performance tools, fluid dynamics analysis across hull-borne, hydrofoiling, and wing-borne regimes, system-level optimization integrating multiple engineering disciplines, and experimental validation through wind tunnel testing.
