Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in data governance and management
  • Minimum of 3 years in a team lead or core contributor role
  • Proven experience successfully leading the implementation of enterprise-level data management projects
  • Deep understanding and practical experience in governing key commercial data domains
  • Strong command of core data governance and management methodologies, including data standard definition, enabling data-driven processes, and comprehensive data quality improvement
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and influencing skills, with the ability to drive business and technology teams towards common goals
  • Strong project management and complex problem-solving capabilities

Responsibilities

  • Build the Data Governance Framework: Design and implement company-wide data governance policies, processes, and roadmap
  • Establish unified data definitions, standards, and usage specifications for core commercial data, creating a common data dictionary and application standards
  • Define ownership and management responsibilities for key commercial data domains and systems
  • Master Data Management: Develop ground rules governing account management and sales territory definition, assignment, and changes
  • Take responsibility for the end-to-end lifecycle management of account master data and sales territory, ensuring uniqueness and accuracy across the entire organization
  • Work closely with Sales team, Finance, IT and other functions to embed data management rules into business processes, ensuring data quality at the source
  • Data Quality Assurance and Implementation: Systematically assess the quality of critical commercial data, establishing data quality metrics, monitoring, and alerting mechanisms
  • Track and manage the end-to-end process of data quality issue identification, root cause analysis, and remediation to ensure data remains trustworthy and usable
  • Collaborate effectively with all business units and cross-functional teams including IT, Finance, Compliance, and Legal to build consensus on commercial data standards and use cases, ensuring well implementation at company level
  • Data Security and Compliant Access: Drive data classification and categorization, particularly for sensitive data like customer information
  • Collaborate with the Information Security team to design and implement data access control policies, ensuring the security of key business data
