Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Apparel/Fashion Design or related field (or suitable combination of education, experience, and training)
  • 8+ years of relevant work experience in Apparel Design
  • Experience in Apparel Manufacturing
  • Trend and consumer expert
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop
  • Proficiency in Keynote
  • Proficiency in AI Software inclusive of Vizcom
  • Strong collaborative skills to meet cost requirements and deadlines

Responsibilities

  • Guide the creative through the design season while collaborating with designers, tech developers, product managers, and merchants to deliver creative in line with Nike Design Direction
  • Create industry-leading apparel collections that reflect the company’s design ethos
  • Define company strategy and design process for Sportswear Speed Apparel Mens and Womens
  • Provide communication across multiple design teams within the company
  • Manage product design direct report(s) while managing multiple projects in a fast-paced creative speed-to-market process
  • Create design direction and seasonal narratives for the Speed function
  • Assist in the growth of the team and the business within overseen areas
  • Introduce digital end-to-end production within the team
  • Create and define short- and long-term vision strategies to reflect the speed team goals
  • Make internal and external presentations for senior leadership
  • Identify gaps in the current product line and propose innovative, trend-relevant solutions that address emerging consumer needs
  • Attend industry events and conduct regular market research to ensure expertise remains current
  • Lead, mentor, and inspire the team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages creativity and efficiency
  • Push the status quo for the Nike consumer by expanding and articulating the creative vision within the context of overarching strategic objectives
  • Partner with cross-functional partners to ensure aesthetic feasibility while meeting price points, merchandising needs, and product creation requirements
  • Lead product design processes to ensure results are met and actively seek opportunities to drive efficiency
  • Foster team’s individual growth by providing inspiration, encouragement, and constructive feedback
