TuringFull Time
Expert & Leadership (9+ years)
Candidates should possess 10+ years of experience in machine learning, with at least 5 years in technical management roles, and 5+ years of experience building and deploying ML or Generative AI systems in production environments, including experience with LLMs, transformers, or multimodal models. A Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience, is required. Experience with on-device machine learning model development and deployment is a strong plus, and familiarity with privacy-preserving ML techniques such as differential privacy or federated learning is a plus.
As a Senior Machine Learning Engineering Manager, you will lead and grow a team of ML engineers developing Generative AI models and integrating them into Firefox experiences, driving end-to-end machine learning product development—from research and prototyping to model training, evaluation, deployment, and iteration in production. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product, research, design, and platform teams to deliver user-facing features powered by proprietary and open-source AI models, define technical strategy and execution plans for ML initiatives aligned with Mozilla’s mission and Firefox’s product roadmap, champion engineering excellence, inclusion, and a user-first perspective in every phase of feature development.
