Requirements

  • Common law qualified lawyer
  • At least 3 years of Post-Qualified Experience (PQE)
  • Experience in dealing with issues relating to FinTech and payment matters, including payment license applications in Singapore, Hong Kong, or elsewhere
  • Experience dealing with MAS, HKMA, or other relevant regulators/authorities
  • Team player with the ability to handle projects independently
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Proactive approach and ability to handle matters independently
  • Sound interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluency in English and proficient command of Chinese

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist payments legal advice and subject matter resources
  • Advise on compliance across all aspects of Singapore/Hong Kong/international payments laws and regulations, including license requirements
  • Manage outside counsel for all payments projects
  • Handle regulatory requests and manage working relationships with financial regulators
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and administer legal and commercial documentation
  • Keep business teams and internal stakeholders abreast of new relevant laws and regulations
