Requirements

Juris Doctor Degree from an accredited law school or international equivalent
Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Compliance & Regulatory Counsels
Admission to practice law and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar (or equivalent in other jurisdictions)
Solid experience with US & EU licensing and registration regimes, including dual use, military, and nuclear
Experience in international trade law, including export compliance and sanctions
Strong negotiation and presentation skills and excellent analytical ability
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex legal and regulatory concerns to non-legal stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to lead programs/projects

Responsibilities

Providing legal advice to the business on US Customs and Export Controls Rules and Regulations, Sanctions regulations
Leading trade compliance investigations and managing submissions and disclosures to the U.S. government as required
Working with a team dedicated to the management of the compliance program through a focus on continual enhancement
Managing ITC Compliance policies and procedures and key elements of the Trade Program with the Compliance program
Monitoring and communicating new international trade laws, rules, and regulations that impact the business through internal communications
Managing ITC Compliance training content and annual roll-out to support program initiatives
Leading the development of certain aspects of the Baker Hughes Trade Compliance Program
Providing legal advice to the business on Export Controls, Sanctions regulations, and Customs rules
