Strong understanding of Java fundamentals, OOP principles, data structures, and algorithms is essential. Hands-on experience with the Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC), RESTful APIs, relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server) with basic SQL knowledge, and version control systems (Git) and build tools (Maven or Gradle) are necessary. Familiarity with foundational AI concepts and practical experience applying AI-powered coding generation tools like OpenAI Codex, GitHub Copilot, Anthropic Claude, Cursor, or Windsurf is a significant asset. Understanding of large language models, prompt engineering, retrieval augmentation generation, and Model Context Protocol is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

The Senior Java Developer will develop, test, and maintain robust and efficient Java applications and backend services. They will write clean, well-structured, and maintainable code adhering to coding standards and best practices. Responsibilities include implementing new features based on product requirements and technical designs, identifying, diagnosing, and resolving software defects, and contributing to production support. The role involves working closely with senior developers, product owners, and QA engineers, participating in unit testing, integration testing, and supporting user acceptance testing. Additionally, the developer will participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and contribute to technical documentation for developed features and systems. Active participation in team discussions, retrospectives, and process improvements is expected.
