Requirements

  • 7+ years of IT experience with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, MCA, or MSc
  • Advanced experience with ETL Tools: Informatica PowerCenter
  • Strong experience with Databases: Oracle (strong SQL), basic understanding of Delta Lake (Databricks)
  • Cloud/Data Platforms: Databricks (preferred or willingness to learn)
  • Strong understanding of SAP APO, R/3, and GTS data structures
  • Experience with Scheduling Tools: Tivoli Job Scheduler, Airflow
  • Basic Unix shell scripting
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience migrating ETL from legacy systems to cloud-based platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, etc.)
  • Understanding of data warehouse design patterns
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter to ingest and process data from SAP and other enterprise systems
  • Perform advanced data extraction from SAP modules such as APO, R/3, and GTS, ensuring high data quality and performance
  • Maintain and support existing ETL pipelines running on Oracle backends, ensuring availability and minimal downtime
  • Drive and support the transition to Databricks, modernizing ETL pipelines and contributing to architecture evolution
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data architects, and BI developers to define data requirements and deliver scalable data solutions
  • Implement and monitor job scheduling using Tivoli and Airflow
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Unix shell scripts involved in data movement and job orchestration
  • Ensure compliance with data governance, quality, and security policies
