Requirements
- Senior-level experience as an iOS Engineer
- Ability to collaborate closely with local teams (operations, marketing, product, design, etc.)
- Experience adapting mobile apps for specific markets, similar to US iOS Engineers
- Expertise in supporting Japanese languages, addresses, and payment methods (e.g., PayPay, Konbini)
- Ability to optimize Home, Navigation, and Product Pages for local user trust and experience
- Capability to identify and propose app adaptations based on experience
Responsibilities
- Join the Japan Growth team as the first mobile engineer
- Collaborate with Mobile Core squad and product squads/stakeholders to launch the app in Japan, including support for Japanese languages, addresses, payment methods (PayPay, Konbini), etc
- Adapt the app (especially Home, Navigation, and Product Pages) to resonate with Japanese customers and build trust
- Use experience to recommend necessary app adaptations
- Long-term: Collaborate with local Tokyo office members to build features for Japanese customers to enhance app usage for refurbished devices
