A high school diploma or GED is required, with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance being a plus. Candidates need three to five years of experience in investor reporting and remitting, preferably with government-sponsored enterprises like Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac. A demonstrated understanding of various remittance methods (Actual/Actual, Schedule/Schedule, Schedule/Actual) and hands-on experience in major areas of residential mortgage servicing using the MSP system, including payment processing and bank reconciliations, are essential. The ability to prioritize, manage a large volume of work, and adapt to a fast-paced environment is also required.
The Senior Investor Reporting Analyst is responsible for ensuring timely and accurate reporting and remitting of activities, balances, and payments across all investor portfolios, including private and government-sponsored enterprises. This includes preparing daily, monthly, and interim reports and remittances, reconciling actual activity to reported activity, and comparing loan resolution data against modification agreements for accuracy. The analyst will prepare reports and remit funds for payoffs, short sales, and other interim events, perform pool to security reconciliation and test of cash, and establish and maintain pool headers in the MSP system. They will ensure timely and accurate advances, process monthly fees, research and resolve variances in the Investor Reporting application, and maintain records of trailing adjustments. Additionally, the analyst will assist with bank reconciliation, monitor P&I custodial accounts, manage relations with investor counterparts, compile and reconcile remittance reports during loan transitions, prepare detailed written procedures for each investor, review new servicing agreements for compliance, prepare regulatory reports, and assist with audit requests.
